Who We Are

ACGME-I Summary

We advance health care by assessing the quality of physicians’ education through a voluntary, peer-review evaluation process that benefits the public and improves the quality of teaching, learning, research, and professional practice throughout the world.

What We Do

Better Outcomes through Accreditation

We accredit graduate medical education programs that meet – and oftentimes exceed – our established standards for Institutional, Foundational, and Advanced Specialty accreditation quality outside the United States.

News and Announcements

Preliminary comments are requested for the ACGME-I Foundational Requirements for residency and fellowship programs. Comments are also being requested for proposed Advanced Specialty Requirements for fellowships in child neurology and pulmonary critical care. The comment period for these is open until 30 April 2019.

Requirements and comment forms are available on the ACGME-I Review and Comment page.

The ACGME-I is pleased to announce the winners of this year’s awards, who have made exemplary contributions to international accreditation efforts.
