Dr. Ludwig has dedicated his career to the education of physicians at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He has served in many leadership positions, including as designated institutional official, Medical Director for Global Medical Education, Division Chief of General Pediatrics, and Director of the Emergency Department. Nationally, he has served in significant leadership positions for the American Board of Pediatrics and the American College of Emergency Physicians. He served on the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)’s Review Committee for Pediatrics, including a term as Chair. He also was a member of the ACGME’s Pediatrics Milestones Working Group, Duty Hours Task Force, and Board of Appeals. Dr. Ludwig served on the Review Committee-International from 2016-2023. He is on the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates’ International Scholar Task Force. Dr. Ludwig received his bachelor of science degree from Pennsylvania State University and his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine. He completed postgraduate education and training at the Children's National Hospital in Washington, DC.
