The first meeting of the new cohort took place in mid-July in Chicago, Illinois, US. Read more about the accreditation decisions from the meeting here.
The membership of the committees continues to demonstrate the growing diversity of the ACGME-I community. Members come from eight countries across three continents, including nine ACGME-I-accredited Sponsoring Institutions. In addition, a public member and a resident member serve on each committee.
With the conclusion of both committees' long-time Chairs' terms, the new Chair of the Medicine-Based Review Committee is Sawsan Abdel-Razig, MD, MEHP; and the new Chair of the Surgical/Hospital-Based Review Committee is Paula Termuhlen, MD, FACS. The Vice Chairs are Stacy Potts, MD, MEd, and James Anderson, MD, respectively.
