Join the largest gathering of graduate medical education (GME) professionals from around the world convening on 20-22 February 2025 in Nashville, Tennessee, US, at the 2025 ACGME Annual Educational Conference.
Registration is now open! Click here to register for the conference.
#ACGME2025 is shaping up to be one of the year’s key events for global GME, bringing together thousands of attendees to learn, discuss, discover, and network. Engage with colleagues during numerous plenary and educational sessions, and discuss the research and innovations presented in posters and in the Exhibit Hall.
Two educational sessions are curated by ACGME-I and ACGME Global Services focusing on international activities. ACGME-I will present “Update on International Accreditation from the ACGME-I Team,” a comprehensive review of international accreditation activities over the past academic year. ACGME Global Services will present “Enhancing Physician Competency: Education and Training Amid Global Health Workforce Mobility Challenges,” which will focus on physician work-based assessments through direct observation training, contextualized within the broader issues of mobility and migration in the global health workforce.
In addition, during the Full-Day Course entitled, “Be the Best Program Director You Can Be: A Course for Program Directors,” ACGME-I Executive Director Dr. Lorraine Lewis will present a session on international accreditation, offering useful tips and insider info for existing programs and those seeking ACGME-I accreditation for their Sponsoring Institution and/or program(s).
There will be many unique educational sessions to engage attendees. Here is just a small sample of session titles that may be of interest:
The winners of the 2025 ACGME International Awards will also be celebrated at the conference, during the annual ACGME Awards Dinner.
There are ample opportunities to network with colleagues from across the globe – in both formal and informal settings. The annual International Reception is a relaxed event that convenes attendees with interest in global GME where they can converse and network. Whether it’s during breakfast or lunch, at the Marvin R. Dunn Welcoming Poster Reception and Exhibitor Kick-Off, or during a simple coffee break between sessions, the opportunities to network are endless. Learn more about networking at #ACGME2025 on the ACGME Blog.
Do not hesitate to register and secure your accommodations for the conference as soon as possible due to the popularity of staying on-site at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center. International travel also presents its challenges, from flights to visas, so prospective attendees are strongly encouraged to planning the trip to Nashville as far in advance as is possible. Note that hotel reservations in the conference room block cannot be secured until registration is completed.
More details and information will be forthcoming, so check this page dedicated to international attendees on the ACGME’s website.
ACGME-I looks forward to seeing everyone at #ACGME2025 in Nashville in February 2025!
