Upcoming Webinar: Everything You Need to Know About ACGME-I Site Visits

Accreditation site visits to all ACGME-I-accredited programs will ramp up in the next few years, as required visits following completion of a program’s Self-Study are scheduled. This webinar is designed if it has it been a while since a program’s last site visit, there is a new program director or coordinator who has never experienced a site visit, or for programs applying for ACGME-I accreditation or moving from Initial to Continued Accreditation.

Speakers

  • Cathy Nace, MD, Vice President, Field Activities, Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)
  • Lorraine Lewis, EdD, Executive Director, ACGME-I

Goals of the Webinar

  • Provide an overview of why ACGME-I schedules site visits, so all participants know the type of visit their program will have.
  • List the steps to prepare for a successful visit.
  • List the faculty members, staff members, and learners who must be involved in the visit and review a typical schedule for the day.
  • List the differences between an in-person and virtual visit and how program directors and coordinators can best prepare for each.

The hour-long webinar is scheduled for Tuesday, 15 April at the following times:

  • 7:00 a.m. Chicago
