Staff members from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Milestones team and ACGME-I have continued a dedicated series of in-person workshops to help Sponsoring Institutions and programs prepare for the full implementation of Milestones 2.0, the most recent of which was held in Jordan.
The ACGME-I team was accompanied by ACGME Vice President, Milestones Development Laura Edgar, EdD, CAE for a workshop with the team from Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) in Irbid.
Much like the previous workshops held with Haiti’s Hôpital Universitaire de Mirebalais and with the team from Unidad Nacional de Oncología Pediátrica (UNOP) in Guatemala, the opportunity to work with Milestones 2.0 specialists offered the local groups an opportunity to collaborate and share detailed knowledge on how to implement and use the new Milestones, including program-specific considerations.
“The faculty at JUST have a long history of excellence in graduate medical education,” said ACGME-I Executive Director Lorraine C. Lewis, EdD. “ACGME-I is proud to have them as colleagues as they continue to provide quality graduate medical education programs.”
These in-person workshops, which will take place with every ACGME-I-accredited Sponsoring Institution, will continue throughout the coming months to better prepare Sponsoring Institutions and programs for Milestones 2.0, as their use will be required beginning January 2024. Learn more about the Milestones here.
Future dates and locations of these workshops will be sent directly to the Sponsoring Institutions and included in the ACGME-I’s monthly e-Communication newsletter.
